A typical day at Traci's Learning Corner would begin with the first child walking in the door around 6:30am (sometimes earlier). A brief Nick Jr or Disney program may be playing in the background for those children who are not eating breakfast or have already finished eating. This is also the time that I am getting the school-age children on the bus. Breakfast is served until 8AM and a mid-morning snack is offered at 9:30AM. Morning Welcome would begin around 9:00am consisting of songs, fingerplays, and welcoming all the children present for the day. This would be brief and followed by freeplay at different centers of interest Outside Playtime Weather permitting we will usually take the children outside around 10am. If weather permits, we will go out again in the afternoon between 4:30/5pm. This schedule is flexible and dependent upon extreme weather conditions. During the summer days, it may be too hot to go back outside in the afternoon. Circle Time - this is when we go over our ABC's, colors, shapes, and numbers. Lunch is served between 12:00pm and 1:00pm Storytime After lunch the children enjoy a story read to them Naptime is between 1:00/1:30pm-3:00pm and classical music is played in the background during this time - children nap on individual sleeping mats on the floor and each have their assigned covers Afternoon Snack is served between 3:15pm and 4:00pm Freeplay is encouraged indoors (and sometimes outside) for the remainder of the day during pickups where the last child is typically picked up by 6:00pm
